Sammy Shore's Barking Mad Comedy Jam Featured at Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel

LAS VEGAS – March 24, 2010 – Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel is proud to announce that "Sammy Shore's Barking Mad Comedy Jam" will stage a series of performances at Marilyn's Lounge.  The five comedy shows, which will run April through June, start on Saturday, April 24.  Award-winning standup comedian Sammy Shore will perform with two rotating guest comedians, the first pair being Pete Barbutti and Ron Shock.

-       Friday, April 23 at 8 p.m. – Private Premiere Event
-       Saturday, April 24 at 8 p.m. 
-       Friday, May 21 at 8 p.m.  
-       Saturday, May 22 at 8 p.m. 
-       Friday, June 25 at 8 p.m.
-       Saturday, June 26 at 8 p.m.

In a career spanning more than 50 years, Shore has performed with fellow comedians Milton Berle, Bob Hope, Sid Caesar, Red Buttons, Mel Brooks and Buddy Hackett. Shore has also shared the stage with music legends including Tom Jones, Sammy Davis, Jr., Tony Bennett, Ann Margaret and Tony Orlando. In his autobiography, "The Man Who Made Elvis Laugh," Shore relates stories of the four years he spent as the opening act for Elvis Presley's infamous "Comeback Tour" in Las Vegas. 

Shore changed standup comedy forever when he founded The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California. Providing a showcase for some of the biggest names in comedy such as Richard Pryor, Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams, the Comedy Store remains an icon in the world of humor.

Musician and comedian Pete Barbutti started working as a standup comic after touring the country with the quartet The Millionaires. Barbutti has received numerous awards, including "Entertainer of the Year" honors in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, an "Artistic Achievement Award" from the American Federation of Musicians and a "Most Valuable Player Award" from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. 

Hailed as one of the greatest American storytellers, Ron Shock has led a dynamic life during which he studied for the priesthood and did time at maximum-security penitentiary after an unsuccessful jewel heist. At age 40, Shock quit his position as Vice President of a Fortune 500 company to become a standup comic. He has appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, and had his own Showtime special, "Bad Gig Blues."
